TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms have been updated as of 10 October 2025.

1. GENERAL TERMS

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of tookilig, operated by MACRES TRAINING CONSULTANCY SERVICES (Philippines), herein referred to as “MACRES HOUSE.” In this Agreement, “tookilig,” “we,” “us,” “hub,” or “our” refers to tookilig and/or MACRES HOUSE, and “you” refers to any individual accessing or using our Services.

By using the tookilig Website (www.tookilig.com), mobile application, or any other platforms or services we offer—including but not limited to META, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, or similar platforms (collectively, the “Services”)—you agree to these Terms.

These Terms apply to all users, regardless of registration, membership category, or subscription status. Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, Member Guidelines, Safe Meetup Guidelines, all of which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services immediately.

We may also adjust features, availability, or pricing for any purchases (including one-time fees and subscription fees) at our sole discretion. Except as expressly stated in these Terms, any price changes will take effect following notice to you.

1A. DEFINITIONS AND TERMINOLOGIES

To help you better understand how tookilig operates, here’s what certain terms mean when used in these Terms:

  • “Experiences” — refer to all activities, socials, or gatherings curated by tookilig, whether hosted independently, digitally, in real life (IRL), or in collaboration with partner brands and venues. In some contexts, “experiences” may also be referred to as “events.”

  • “Participants” — refer to individuals who take part in any paid tookilig experiences, whether they are single or attending as a friend of a single participant. For clarity, tookilig uses the term “participants” to describe its customers, attendees, and experience-goers collectively.

  • “Members” — are participants who have joined at least one paid tookilig experience, subscribed to a membership package, and/or gained access to our exclusive Members-Only Perks. Members enjoy additional privileges, early access, and opportunities to connect and participate in future activities.

  • “Perks” — are exclusive treats, cheeky discounts, and partner surprises available only to verified members. Perks are designed to encourage members to get healthy, be more social, and live the life—think of them as their “self-groundwork upgraded” starter pack. Perks may also include opportunities to initiate or join member-led meet-ups.

  • “Meet-ups” — are informal or structured gatherings connected to or inspired by tookilig’s perks and experiences. Members can organise or attend meet-ups to connect with other members, participants, or singles and friends in safe, respectful, and meaningful spaces; whereas, these meet-ups will refer to Clause 4. Community and Groups.

2. ACCOUNT ELIGIBILITY & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

By creating an account or attending our offline activities, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.

  • You are legally qualified to enter into a binding contract with tookilig.

  • You are genuinely seeking meaningful connections in a safe environment.

  • You are not located in a country where our Services are restricted.

  • You have not committed, been convicted of, or pled no contest to a felony or crime involving violence.

  • You are not required to register as a sex offender.

  • You have not previously been removed from our Services unless you have written permission to create a new account.

  • You agree to provide accurate information and complete any identity verification steps requested by tookilig to maintain a safe and authentic community.

If you no longer meet these requirements, you must immediately delete your account.

3. IDENTITY VERIFICATION & AUTHENTICITY

To maintain a safe and authentic environment, tookilig may, at its discretion, require users to verify their identity through one or more of the following methods:

  • Submitting a valid government-issued ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license, national ID).

  • Providing social media profiles or other online accounts for authenticity checks.

  • Completing an email, phone, or selfie verification process through our official channels.

By providing this information, you agree that:

  1. The information you submit is true, accurate, and belongs to you.

  2. tookilig may use the information solely for the purpose of verifying your identity and ensuring the safety of our community.

  3. Verification data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

Failure to complete verification when requested may result in temporary suspension, restriction, or removal from our Services.

tookilig reserves the right to revoke or deny membership, access to events, or eligibility for perks if authenticity cannot be reasonably confirmed.

4. COMMUNITY AND GROUPS

tookilig may offer community groups through its App, Website, or external platforms such as META, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, or similar services to foster meaningful interactions among users.

By joining a community group, you agree to:

✔ Be respectful to all members.
✔ Not share inappropriate, offensive, or prohibited content (see Section 3d: Prohibited Content).
✔ Not use groups for commercial promotions or solicitations without tookilig’s explicit permission.

Violations may result in removal from the group or suspension of your account.

Privacy & Security: Community groups are strictly limited to verified Meetup attendees to ensure a trusted and private space. Fellow participants may view limited profile details within the group to encourage authentic interactions.

Community groups follow the following Terms:

This turf is built for real vibes, respect, and safe spaces. To keep it that way:

  • Open to All Singles (18 y/o+) – Everyone’s welcome in open groups. Private ones are curated for balance and dynamics, strictly for ages 25–45.

  • IRL Experiences – This isn't DIYs. We curate all events and meet-ups by default. You bring you/singles; we handle the rest—unless we say otherwise.

  • Members-Only Perks – Perks are exclusive to verified, paying participants with active access granted through our official tookilig portal. They’re personal and non-transferable—so please don’t share or pass them around.

  • No Spam, No Selling – Our chats are for conversations, not promos or side hustles.

  • Keep It Chill – Share your single-life stories and experiences, but don’t share other people’s tea.

  • Respect the Space – What happens in the group stays in the group. No screenshots, no recordings, no sharing convos outside.

  • Data Privacy – Protect your info and others’. Confirm attendance only by signing up on our experiences page—not in community chats.

  • Safe Space, Always – No hate, no discrimination, no shaming. Respect boundaries, pronouns, and different comfort levels.

  • No Photos Rule – Unless tookilig specifically encourages them—and even then, they’ll always be group shots (never individuals).

  • Consent Is Sexy – Before adding someone outside the group, ask first. Don’t slide into DMs without good vibes established.

  • Ghosting Hurts – If you sign up, show up. Repeated no-shows = fewer chances to join future experiences.

  • Bans Are Real – Harassment, ignoring boundaries, or breaking safe space = immediate removal.

This group is not for romantic-only, one-night stand turf. If that’s your only goal, it’s better to leave now—or we’ll be happy to show you the exit.

Member-led Meet-ups and Community Gatherings

From time to time, members may initiate or host their own informal gatherings inspired by tookilig experiences and perks. While we encourage meaningful connections within the community, please note that member-led meet-ups are not official tookilig events unless expressly co-hosted or announced by tookilig.

These gatherings are self-organised and voluntary, and members who host or attend them do so at their own discretion and risk. tookilig is not responsible for coordinating, supervising, or mediating these independent activities and assumes no liability for any outcomes or incidents arising from them.

5. PURCHASES & AUTOMATICALLY RENEWING SUBSCRIPTIONS

tookilig offers products and services for purchase, including one-time fees and subscription fees. Payments may be processed through META, LinkedIn, iTunes, Google Play, other authorised third-party services, or directly via credit card or other payment methods on our Website, App, or designated platforms.

  • One-Time Fees: Certain features or activities may require a one-time fee. These fees are non-refundable and grant access only to the specified service or content.

  • On-Site Fees: Certain experiences or meetups may involve inclusions (e.g., food, drinks, venue usage) or additional consumables that participants can avail. If such inclusions are provided, tookilig will clearly indicate them in advance. If not, participants are expected to cover their own purchases and are encouraged to split costs fairly to avoid discrepancies.

  • Subscription Fees: Subscriptions, such as the Monthly Membership reflected under Perks, automatically renew until you cancel. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your subscription benefits until the end of the current billing period. If your payment method fails, you remain responsible for any uncollected amounts, and your subscription may be suspended or terminated.

  • Perks Fulfilment & Delivery Address: When availing of perks offered through tookilig’s membership or community programs, users may be asked to provide a Delivery Address to complete redemption or fulfilment. Each perk is treated as a single SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) for tracking and processing purposes. Once a perk has been successfully delivered, redeemed, or verified as claimed, it will be tagged as “Delivered” on the back end. By providing your Delivery Address, you consent to its use for the purpose of verifying and fulfilling the perk you have availed.

  • Cancellations for Subscriptions: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your tookilig account settings or by contacting our support team at least 48 hours before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No partial, prorated, or retroactive refunds will be provided for any unused portion of a subscription.

  • PayPal Payments: If you choose to pay via PayPal, please note that PayPal may apply its own transaction and/or currency-conversion fees, which are determined solely by PayPal and are outside tookilig’s control. The total amount shown at checkout represents the amount due to tookilig; however, PayPal may deduct a small portion as its processing fee before remitting the balance to us. In such cases, the deducted amount constitutes PayPal’s fee and, while resulting in a valid underpayment to tookilig, does not reduce or discount the total price of your purchase. By selecting PayPal as your payment method, you acknowledge and agree that any PayPal-imposed charges are your responsibility and are not refundable by tookilig. For complete details, please refer to PayPal’s User Agreement and Fee Policy.

  • Credit Card and Third-Party Payment Gateways: Payments made via credit card or through other authorised third-party processors (such as Maya, GCash, Xendit, or similar providers) may be subject to their own transaction or service fees. These fees are set and collected by the respective payment provider and are beyond tookilig’s control. The full amount displayed at checkout remains payable to tookilig, regardless of any deductions made by the payment provider. By completing your purchase through these methods, you acknowledge and agree that any provider-imposed charges are your responsibility and are not refundable by tookilig.

6. REFUNDS & TICKET TRANSFERS

All purchases made through tookilig — including one-time fees, ticketed events, and subscription-based services — are final and non-refundable, except under the limited circumstances outlined below.

Eligible Refunds

Refunds may be issued only in the following verified cases:

1. Technical Failure
A confirmed technical issue in the tookilig platform or payment system (e.g., duplicate charge, downtime that prevents access to a paid feature) directly caused by tookilig.

2. Event Cancellation Due to Low Attendance
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled because the minimum confirmed number of participants was not met, tookilig will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the event to a new date or combine it with a future experience of similar nature and value.

Participants who are unable to attend the rescheduled event will be offered alternative compensation, as this situation is outside tookilig’s direct control. You will be provided with one of the following options:

  • a one-time transfer of your ticket value to a future event of equal value, or

  • a credit for use on another tookilig service of equivalent value.

No cash refunds will be issued in this case.

3. Event Cancellation by tookilig
Suppose a paid event, meetup, or service is cancelled in full by tookilig for reasons within our control, and no reschedule or transfer option is offered. In that case, you will be eligible for a full refund of the corresponding ticket or service fee.

Refunds for cancelled events will be processed to the participant's desired payment method after verification and within a reasonable timeframe, subject to your payment provider’s timelines. Once a transfer or credit has been granted instead of a refund, no additional refund or change request will be accepted for the same purchase.

Refunds or credits will not be issued for cancellations resulting from Force Majeure events, third-party venue unavailability, or government-imposed restrictions, unless otherwise determined by tookilig.

4. Eligibility Issue
If you are found to be under 18 years old or otherwise ineligible to use our Services.

5. Incorrect Charge
If you are mistakenly charged for a service you did not purchase or authorise, and such charge is verified on our system and through the third-party platforms or payment systems we use, you may be eligible for a refund. Refunds for verified incorrect charges will be processed to the original payment method once validation is complete.

Processing of Refunds

  • Refunds (where applicable) will be issued only after verification by tookilig.

  • All refunds will be processed using the original payment method.

  • Processing times vary depending on your payment provider; third-party platforms such as PayPal, Apple, or Google Play may have separate procedures and timelines beyond tookilig’s control.

  • Once a transfer or credit has been granted in lieu of a refund, no additional refund or change request will be accepted for the same purchase.

  • tookilig is not responsible for any transaction or currency-conversion fees applied by third-party payment processors.

Ticket Transfers

For ticketed meetups, events, and experiences, you may transfer your ticket value once only to another tookilig event, subject to:

  • availability of the replacement event,

  • successful verification of your request, and

  • compliance with any qualification or participation requirements for the new event.

Once a transfer is confirmed, it is considered final and cannot be modified, cancelled, or reassigned to another event.

Transfer requests must be submitted within the timeframe specified for each event; late requests will not be accepted.

Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable Situations

Refunds or transfers will not be issued for any of the following:

  • Change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or dissatisfaction with the Services.

  • Failure to attend (no-shows) or late arrivals at meetups or events.

  • Inability to participate due to illness, personal circumstances, or reasons outside tookilig’s control.

  • Any purchase made using promotional credits, complimentary passes, or partner-issued discounts.

7. INTERNAL PURCHASES

For any purchases (including one-time or subscription fees), you agree to pay the listed price plus applicable taxes and any third-party payment-processing fees (including PayPal and other payment provider fees where applicable) at the time of purchase. You authorise tookilig to charge your chosen payment method for these amounts and any recurring fees as applicable. You may update or change your payment method through your account settings.

Failure to process payment may result in the suspension or termination of your account.

In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute initiated by you through your payment provider, tookilig reserves the right to suspend your account and any active perks or subscriptions until the matter is resolved.

8. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & LIABILITY LIMITATION

By participating in any tookilig-organised meetup, event, or activity, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. Many activities (e.g., sports, wellness, or social events) carry inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or emotional discomfort.

  • You are responsible for evaluating your own health, fitness, and comfort level before joining any activity.

  • We are not liable for any personal injury, loss, damage, claim, or expense arising out of participation, except where directly caused by our proven gross negligence or willful misconduct.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, tookilig’s total liability for any claim relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service, ticket, or subscription giving rise to the claim.

9. NON-TRANSFERABILITY OF ACCOUNTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS

  • Accounts, memberships, and subscriptions are personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, shared, or assigned to another individual without tookilig’s prior written consent.

  • Any unauthorised transfer, resale, or sharing of access may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

  • You remain solely responsible for all activity conducted through your account, whether or not you personally authorised such activity.

10. PARTNER BRANDS & THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

tookilig collaborates with partner brands, venues, and service providers (collectively, “Partners”) to extend offers, discounts, products, or experiences to our community.

By availing of any Partner offer or service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Partner offers are provided directly by the Partner and are subject to their own terms, conditions, and availability.

  • tookilig acts only as a facilitator to connect participants with unique experiences, meetups, or events, and does not operate or manage Partner services.

  • tookilig is not responsible, whether fully or partially, for the fulfilment, quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any Partner’s products, services, or offers.

  • Any issues, complaints, or claims arising from a Partner’s products or services must be addressed directly with the Partner.

  • tookilig makes no warranties or guarantees regarding Partner offers, which may be modified or withdrawn at any time without prior notice.

  • Display of Partner logos, names, or offers on our Services does not constitute endorsement or create any liability on the part of tookilig, unless expressly stated in official promotional materials.

  • Participants are responsible for reviewing and complying with any applicable Partner terms and policies when availing of their products or services.

Partner logos, names, or offers displayed on our Services do not imply endorsement or assume liability on the part of tookilig, unless indicated on promotional materials.

11. FORCE MAJEURE

tookilig shall not be held liable or responsible for any failure, delay, rescheduling, or cancellation of Services, events, or meetups caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Events”). These may include, but are not limited to:

  • natural disasters (e.g., typhoons, floods, earthquakes),

  • public health emergencies (e.g., pandemics, outbreaks, government-imposed restrictions),

  • power outages, internet or telecommunications disruptions,

  • venue unavailability, transportation disruptions, or strikes,

  • acts of government, civil unrest, or other unforeseen emergencies.

In the event of a Force Majeure, tookilig will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide an alternative option. However, refunds will not be issued unless expressly stated in Section 6 (Refunds & Ticket Transfers).

12. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By signing up for or participating in our experiences, availing of our perks, purchasing memberships, or using any of our related services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all related policies incorporated herein by reference.
